Osu-Oja 2025 holds April 19 As Owalare inaugurates Planing Committee

By Oduduwa Media  The 2025 Osu-Oja Festival, Ilare, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State will hold on 19th April, 2025, the Owalare of Ilare, Oba Adejoro Otebolaku JP, Ogidan III has declared. The Owalare, through his spokesperson, Chief (Dr.) Tope Abiola, the Odole-Owa of Ilare, who is also the Chairman of the Planing Committee, in a press release said a committee had been put in place by the monarch to organise the festival to make it a funfair celebration. Osu-Oja is a bi-annual celebration which involves prayers for inhabitants of the town by the monarch. It is a celebration which brings all the Eka-Osuns (Igigun, Ipepeji, Iloja, Igbo Iloyi-Ajeoku, Okeogun and Iketewi) together to celebrate their unity and remind them of their ancestral migration from Ile-Ife. Adeleke Sakiru Adeolu after performing his civic right by casting his vote during the Osun State local government election on 22nd February, 2025, confirmed that the election was peaceful. Hon. Adeleke Sakiru Adeolu who was the former Chairman, Egbedore South LCDEA, Ido-osun. Commended the security personnel moving around to give security to lives and properties and equally appreciated electorates for coming out in mass to perform their civic right. He attests to reports from the observers that in all the polling units he visited at Egbedore, Ward 10, their was no report of violence. He therefore appreciated the governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the OSSIEC Chairman for their effort in the success in the ongoing election. He therefore urged other electorates at home to also come out to participate in the exercise.

Osun State LG Election: Observers Adjudged the Ongoing Exercise Peaceful

 Oduduwa Media  Osun State local government election fixed for 22nd February, 2025 started early around 8:15am at Egbedore Local Government, Ward 10 and adjudged peaceful by the observers. The units visited by our reporter showed that the exercise was peaceful as electorates were seen lined up and were attended to contrary to the speculations and fear that the process may turn violence. People interviewed by our reporter advised electorates to come out at other local government to also exercise their franchise without fear. Security officials were cited at various polling units visited.
