Bad Road: Communities Cry to Osun State Government for Help

 By Oduduwa Media  The representatives of Irepodun and Olodo off Osunjela, Osun State have cried out to the state government concerning the deplorable and life-threatening condition of the road from Osunjela that passed Olojabala and lead to Owode Ede. The said road is totally not motorable anymore. This raining season has contributed to the bad state of the road as flood and erosion have taken over the road and erode sand away from the bad road which made it worse. The representative of the communities, Olayinka Awofadeju, PhD and Mr. James Olaoluwa-Aina said the construction of the road was approved in the 2025 budget by Osun State House of Assembly, but as the month of June is going to an end, nothing has been done on the road. The funeral service, held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Oke-Ila, drew mourners from across the country and beyond, all united in grief as they paid their final respects to a beloved wife, leader, and public servant. Presiding over the service, Pastor Olusola Ajayi delivered a poignant sermon titled “My Redeemer Liveth”, drawing from Job 13:15. He reminded the congregation of the inevitability of death and urged them to place their trust in God rather than in man. Ebenezer Adeniji (Ebenco), has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved royal family of Abolarin, the people of Oke- Ila Community, and the entire Osun State as a whole on the passing of the Executive Secretary of the Council, Olori (Mrs) Christianah Solape Abolarin, also known as the beautiful queen of Oke-Ila who gave up the ghost on Monday, June 9th, 2025 after a brief illness. This is contained in a condolence message signed by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon.Abiodun Bankole Ojo and made available to newsmen in Osogbo. In the condolences message jointly signed by the Bord Chairman, Hon.Taiwo Adeleke and the General Manager, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ajayi, and made available to the newsmen, they described the death of Mrs Solape Abolarin as a rude shock to the State Government whose service will be most needed at this point in time, saying the vacuum left behind will be very difficult to fill.
