Kayode Egbetokun has been removed from  his position as Inspector General of Police by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu . Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed fast tracking of several critical projects across the state, warning against distractions in public governance . He spoke Sunday night at a review meeting with key officials supervising ongoing projects across major towns such as Ila Orangun , Iwo , Ile Ife , Ilesa , Osogbo , Ikirun among others.
