  The Olowu of Kuta , Oba Dr. Hammed Oyelude Makama, CON ,  has called on candidates in the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election to place the interest of the state above personal ambitions. The monarch made the call while receiving the newly elected executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, who paid him a courtesy visit led by their Chairman, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin .  The meeting took place shortly after the monarch hosted his 2026 Ramadan Lecture at his palace in Kuta. Osun State Government announced the release of the names of the first batch of successful applicants on Friday for immediate recruitment into both public primary and secondary schools in the state. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi , directed the applicants to check their names online or at the government approved designated offices like the Osun State Civil Service Commission , Ministry of Education , Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and SUBEB headquarters, all in Osogbo , the Osun State capital .
