  The annual Ramadan Lecture of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Osun State Council holds tomorrow in the afternoon.   The Olowu of Kuta , Oba Dr. Hammed Oyelude Makama, CON ,  has called on candidates in the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election to place the interest of the state above personal ambitions. The monarch made the call while receiving the newly elected executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, who paid him a courtesy visit led by their Chairman, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin .  The meeting took place shortly after the monarch hosted his 2026 Ramadan Lecture at his palace in Kuta. Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication , Joseph Ayo Babalola University and a known journalist has called on the Osun State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke to be proactive and be courteous against federal government machineries ( INEC and Security) and opposition sponsored thugs during the coming gubernatorial election . Osun State Government announced the release of the names of the first batch of successful applicants on Friday for immediate recruitment into both public primary and secondary schools in the state. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi , directed the applicants to check their names online or at the government approved designated offices like the Osun State Civil Service Commission , Ministry of Education , Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and SUBEB headquarters, all in Osogbo , the Osun State capital .   Newly elected executive of Osun State Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) and members of the union paid courtesy visit to Osun State governor, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke at the government house today at government house. The visit was the first ever since emergence of the new executive of the Osun State NUJ Council. The newly elected chairman Dr. Adeyemi Aboderin appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke for his support for the pen profession (NUJ) since begining of his tenure and receiving them for the visit.
