Honourable Bamidele Salam's 55th Birthday with Grand Celebration, Blesses Over 1,000 Constituents

Rep. Bamidele Salam, the Honourable representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, celebrated his 55th birthday in grand style today, October 1, 2024. The celebration was held across three local governments - Awo, Ede, and Ejigbo simultaneously 

Honourable Bamidele Salam's birthday celebration was a remarkable event that went beyond just festivities. It was held across Awo, Ede, and Ejigbo local governments, the celebration aimed to make a positive impact on the lives of his constituents. The event featured a free medical and welfare outreach, where people received medical examinations and free eye glasses.

Dr. Adediran Liqman, Medical Director at the event in Awo town, emphasized the importance of prioritizing health during his remarks. He specifically highlighted high blood pressure as a common condition that increases with age, it has no cure but can be managed with proper care.

Dr. Liqman warned that untreated high blood pressure can lead to severe complications, including stroke, kidney problems and blindness.

He encouraged attendees to regularly check their blood pressure, maintain a healthy lifestyle (diet, exercise, stress management), and seek medical attention if necessary.

At Honourable Bamidele Salam's birthday celebration, all attendees received medical attention and necessary drugs. Additionally, those with vision problems were provided with free eyeglasses.

After the successful free medical and welfare outreach, which included medical examinations and distribution of free eyeglasses, Honourable Bamidele Salam showed his appreciation to the attendees by presenting each person with a commemorative souvenir and a monetary gift to cover transportation costs back to their homes

This thoughtful gesture demonstrated Honourable Salam's kindness and commitment to the well-being of his constituents.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87.
