Best candidate as Egbedore LG Chairman

As local government election is just at the corner and OSSIEC Chairman has said the body will conduct election only In constitutionally recognised local governments, all just resigned caretaker chairmen are eagerly preparing to be re-elected as bonafide chairmen of the council.

Critically looking at the performances of all just resigned caretaker chairmen in Egbedore Local Government, no one has performed up to Honourable Adeleke Sakiru Adeolu in terms of community development, welfare of the community dwellers and political leaders.

Egbedore Local Government needs someone who is endowed with divine wisdom to build the community, sustained peace and relationship between them and the government, and carry the party along in a peaceful way, not someone with selfish motive. With the meager amount of money coming in to Egbedore South, LCDA, Ido-Osun at the time he was in office, he was able to do all these to impact lives:

A. Conducted a free medical outreach at Ofatedo Health Centre and distributed free medications to over 700 people of Egbedore South, including 26 surgeries.

Part of the treatment given to the people of Egbedore South LCDA includes:

1. MEDICAL:

(a) Medical screening for Hepatitis

(b) Medical screening for Diabetes

(c) Management of Hypertension

(d) Management of DM

(e) General Health Promotion

(f) Free Ophthalmologist examination

(g) Distribution of free reading glasses

2. SURGICAL:

(a) Herniorrhaphy

(b) Herniotomy

(c) Hydrocelectomy

(d) Breast Lump excision

(e) Lipoma excision

(f) Sebaceous cyst excision

(g) Papilloma excision

(h) Ganglion excision


B. Revitalization of community infrastructure. This includes the Grading of roads starting from Egbedi Community, Kuse Community, Onibueja Community, Aduramigba Community, Ayoolorun Community, Origo Community, Halleluyah Community, Akinolawuyi Street Baale Area Dada Estate, Adetunji Community, Olobedu Community Ayekale, Osogbo, and Moki Enikan Community Ido Osun, thereby improving accessibility and ensuring the safety of residents.

C. Refurbishment of the motor grader and Toyota Camry at the Council.

D. Support given to Oke Arula Community, Ofatedo, for the installation of a 500kva Transformer.

E. Support given to Oke Ibukun Community in purchasing a new cable for the 500kva Transformer.

F. Support given to Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and Community Development Council (CDC) of Egbedore South LCDA, with some amount of money.

In terms of social services, Hon. Adeleke Adeolu Sakiru has focused on expanding access to essential amenities for the populace, including sanitation facilities for underserved communities, addressing fundamental needs, and improving the living standards of residents.

In all, Hon. Adeleke Adeolu Sakiru has made significant strides in advancing the development agenda of Egbedore South LCDA, with tangible improvements in infrastructure, social services, and community engagement. These achievements reflect his unwavering commitment in promoting sustainable progress and improving the well-being of the local communities.

If a man like this is chosen to paddle the canoe of this local government (Egbedore Local Government), definitely there will be even development in all towns within the local government.

The political leaders are therefore persuaded to present the best who can sell their party manifestoes to the masses and who his work and vision can collaborate the effort of the state governor, Asiwaju Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The work is collaborative work of the party and the people of Egbedore Local Government to see that the best is voted for come next year February.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87.
