JUST NOW, AIYEDATIWA SWORN IN AS ONDO GOVERNOR

Few hours after Akeredolu’s death announced, deputy governor Aiyedatiwa sworn in as Ondo State governor on Wednesday 27th December, 2023.

The acting governor of Ondo State who late governor Rotimi Akeredolu handed power to while travelling for his health check up, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has officially been worn in as the substantive governor of the state.

Aiyedatiwa was sworn in at the governor’s office few hours after the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Chief Pinheiro Resigns from People's Democratic Party

Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary. While inaugurating the new Exco members, the Council Secretary declared that, "as directed by the state council due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the change of power in the chapel, only the Chairman, Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU and the Secretary, Mr. Oyewole Temitope obtained nomination forms to their offices since about eight months ago when the outgone exco had been desolved and the NUJECO credentials committee headed by Dr. Simon Oladimeji Pinheiro was put in place."
