MFTM Babalowo Turned Pastor killed his pregnant wife for Ritual

The police in Ekiti State have arrested a man, Pastor Abiodun Oluwadare, for allegedly killing his pregnant wife, Tosin Oluwadare.

Sources said that the man, popularly known as ‘Araina’ (thunder of fire), strangled Tosin to death allegedly for ritual purposes at about 9pm on November 19, 2023.

A source said, “The man killed the wife, but he was telling us another story when the matter came to the fore. He told us that when he arrived at his house that evening, he asked to have sex with his wife but left her when she refused.

“He said he came back to the room about five minutes later to find her dead. Is this story plausible? No, it does not add up. Police investigation will reveal everything.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, said the suspect had been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

“The man was arrested and the case has been transferred to the state CID. Investigation has since begun,” the police spokesperson said.

Information from the family and neighbors claimed that pastor Abiodun Oluwadare was a herbalist before he claimed to be called by God, he joined Christ Apostolic Church where he was working as pastor before he was alleged have stolen a child during a prayer session programme. This led to his dismissal from Christ Apostolic Church and he went to establish his own ministry called Mountain of Fire and Thunder Ministry.

The day he was alleged to have killed his wife, mother of two children, his wife was at a function when he called to inform her of his arrival from a strange journey he didn't carry the wife along before around 5:00pm, this made the wife to return home to take care of her husband. Unknown to the wife that it will be her last on earth. 

Pastor was alleged that wanted to be taking the wife to unknown destination to remove the foetus from his late wife before the neighbors and family met him because they heard the noise coming from his apartment while he was carrying out the ungodly act. As claimed, finger print of strangling the wife was still on the late wife, tongue was outside and fluid coming out from her neck at the time he was caught.
