Nigeria Police Force dismisses two special constabularies over misconduct

On Thursday 21st of December, 2023, at special programme in Oyo State police headquarters, Commissioner of police, Hamzat Adebola pronounced the dismissal of two special costabularies from the police force.

The costabularies are Jimoh Lukman and Kareem Fatai who were cought in camera attempting to extort a Dutch tourist Ms Noraly Schoenmaker who was on a journey to Abuja.

The incident happened at Iseyin/Oyo road on 29th October, 2023. The costabularies were derope and matched out of the event.

Commissioner of police said, they ought be to be prosecuted if they were full police officers and not special costabularies.

Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary.
