Senator Adeleke's Victory at The Poll, Not Without Aregbesola's Effort - Osogbo Monarch

On Saturday 30th December, 2023, the former governor and immediate past minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola paid courtesy visit to Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji in his palace to compensate for previous visitation to Osogbo without paying homage to the monarch in his palace.

While speaking, Aregbesola appreciated all that went together with him and referred to them as his loyalist.

As he commended Osogbo town, Aregbesola referred to Osogbo as the youngest among all the towns in the Yoruba land, yet he is one of the most respected towns. He said that he can't come to the town without visiting the monarch.

While responding to Aregbesola, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji commended Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola for all his good efforts for the state when he was the governor in the state and minister in Abuja. He said the entourage came with Ogbeni Aregbesola to check Gbongan, Osogbo and Ilesa roads. They came to see how the road networks to Osogbo will be motorable as this will lead to the development of the town.

Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji while commending Aregbesola, he said victory of the present governor at the poll was not without Ogbeni Aregbesola's effort.

Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji urged Aregbesola's successors to complement the work of Ogbeni Aregbesola to make the state better.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

 By Olayinka Awofadeju At Joseph Ayo Babalola University Vice Chancellor's press conference held on 4th December, 2023 at the Senate Chamber. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87. While speaking, VC made it known that the school equally graduated 12 PhD students in 2022/2023 academic session.
