ABUJA NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER: CHINAZA PHILLIP ARRESTED

The Nigeria Police, FCT Police Command announced the arrest of one Chinaza Phillip, a notorious Abuja kidnapper who was arrested by police operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command on Thursday 18th January, 2024.

The suspect has been handed over to FCT police Command today being Friday 19th January, 2024, and currently in police custody.

The investigation continues to arrest other group members. This is as announced by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT on her X App yesterday.

Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

 By Seun Omidiran  The Osun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists has inaugurated the new executive for Federated Chapel of the state . The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary. While inaugurating the new Exco members, the Council Secretary declared that, "as directed by the state council due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the change of power in the chapel, only the Chairman, Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU and the Secretary, Mr. Oyewole Temitope obtained nomination forms to their offices since about eight months ago when the outgone exco had been desolved and the NUJECO credentials committee headed by Dr. Simon Oladimeji Pinheiro was put in place." Osun State LG Election: Observers Adjudged the Ongoing Exercise Peaceful

 Oduduwa Media  Osun State local government election fixed for 22nd February, 2025 started early around 8:15am at Egbedore Local Government, Ward 10 and adjudged peaceful by the observers. The units visited by our reporter showed that the exercise was peaceful as electorates were seen lined up and were attended to contrary to the speculations and fear that the process may turn violence. People interviewed by our reporter advised electorates to come out at other local government to also exercise their franchise without fear. Security officials were cited at various polling units visited.
