Crowds hails as Ayokunle clocks 67

It's a moment of gratitude and appreciation as friends and family gathered to celebrate an icon of faith and a mentor to younger generation, His Eminence, Rev Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle OON the immediate past President Christian Association of Nigeria and Nigerian Baptist Convention at Oritamefa Baptist Church, Total Garden,Ibadan on the 25th of January 2024. 

While delivering his goodwill message, the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention represented by the Vice President Admin and Human Resources, Dn Musa Ubandoma applauded Ayokunle for his good works and not bringing disgrace to the Nigerian Baptist Convention during his tenure as the CAN President. Rtd Con. Akinmiju the Chairman, CAN Oyo State described him as a courageous and fearless leader who should be emulated. 

One major highlight of the Event was the premier of the movie OLASUPO(a Biopic movie of Rev Dr. S.O.A Ayokunle). The movie has the history and life time of Ayokunle. Olasupo was set to inspire the people to remember their humble beginning when they get to the top

In his response, the celebrant of the day appreciated everyone for celebrating him despite the challenges of the country. He further said "If you don't have money, have go words of encouragement to motivate others".He encouraged the people in position to serve the people because the opportunity is once. 

The event also witnessed the Cutting of Cake, Special prayer for the movie OLASUPO, Rev Dr. S.O.A Ayokunle, and the country at large. Also in attendance was the wife of the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Pastor Mrs Victoria Sunshine Akanji, Representative of Bishop Wale Oke, the President Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria President, among others.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

 By Olayinka Awofadeju At Joseph Ayo Babalola University Vice Chancellor's press conference held on 4th December, 2023 at the Senate Chamber. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87. While speaking, VC made it known that the school equally graduated 12 PhD students in 2022/2023 academic session. Eight PhD students graduated from the department of Entrepreneurship, three from Business Administration while one graduated from Accounting department.
