Gov. Adeleke's commitment to develop historical sites is second to none, says Osun tourism Board Chairman

Chairman, Osun State Tourism Board, Hon. Taiwo Adeleke has assured the people of the State that Governor Adeleke's administration will not shy away from giving culture and tradition the desired pride of place.
Hon. Taiwo said this in Okinni at a programme tagged "Promoting Tradition and Historical Sites" organized by Osun State Tourism Board .
He told the residents of Okinni that the aim of putting in place such cultural and traditional reawakening is purely for rebranding and resuscitating Yoruba culture and tradition.
While emphasizing the need for people, particularly Yorubas at home and diaspora to be proud of their culture and tradition, the Chairman sought the co-operation of the people of Okinni for Senator Ademola Adeleke government in its desire to showcase the customs and traditions of the people to the larger world .
According to him " the present administration under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke is working round the culture to develop all the cultural sites situated in different parts of the state.
"Our Governor is not unmindful of all that nature has richly and beautifully endowed the state with, hence his resolve to always think of better ways to make Osun the envy and pride of other states in Nigeria." Chairman said to the people of Okinni.
The guest lecturer at the event, Mr Oyetunde Oyesiji in his presentation described Yoruba culture as a way of life in which non Yoruba people from other states and the world at large are always proud of. Describing them as rich and beautiful, he particularly harped on the effective use of talking drums which are being used to communicate brilliantly and efficiently .
In his royal message, the Alaigbe of Aigbe-Okinni Oba Ablulazeez Adejimi, Oyekanmi 1 saluted the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke for its interest and love for the people of Okinni.
Earlier in her remarks, the General Manager, Osun State Tourism Board, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ajayi, enjoined the people of Okinni and Osun as a whole to always be proud of their culture and tradition.
She similarly sought the support and co-operation of the people for the present administration in Osun State.
Highlights of the well attended programme were Cultural displays of different kinds to the delight of the people in attendance.
