For efficiency and transparency ;Osun set to automate all its Fixed and Mobile Assets

Osun State Government has disclosed its readiness to the commitment of protecting all its fixed and movable assets by using technological devises.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Assets Management, Mrs Fausat Adebanjo disclosed this during the meeting of a committee put in place by the State Government for the kick off and implementation of Fixed Assets Management Information System (FAMIS).
Mrs Adebanjo explained that capturing all state government owned assets by using various technological devices will reduce abuse, misuse and stealing of the assets.
According to her, Osun State Assets Management Agency
(O-SAMA) will, leave no stone unturned in collaborating with Counter House Consortium, World Bank and European Union to strengthen its implementation of fixing Assets Management Information System in the state.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Osun State Assets Management Agency, (OSAMA) Mr Oyesiku Adelu stressed the importance of having comprehensive assets of government through automation so as to protect them from being tampered with.
While thanking Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration for the benefit of automating both fixed and movable assets of the state assets to ensure transparency and accountability, Mr Oyesiku further emphasised that ,the gesture, will also be a good source of generating revenue into the coffers of Osun state government.
In their separate contributions, Messrs Bolaji Lawal of Canter House Consortium; Ogini of the State Integration Financial Management System (SIFMIS); Olayiwola Busari, a World Bank Consultant,Mrs Bukola Jaleyemi ,Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Innovation Science Technology and Digital Economy and the General Manager ,Bureau of Public Procurement, Engineer Oyetola Adeshina, in their various remarks also acknowledged that the Fixed Assets Management Information System project will ensure transparency, generate revenue and efficiency which will be of great advantage to the state.
