Tourism: Osun government to hold Oduafest

The Chairman, Osun State Tourism Board, Hon. Taiwo Adeleke has disclosed that the State Tourism Board will do everything within its power to formulate policies and programmes that will promote the growth and development of Tourism and cultural heritage in the state.

He stated this while giving his opening remarks in Osogbo during the stakeholders meeting of Oduafest Osun 2024, he said part of the event which is to hold for three days in June with aim to harness the power of culture and tourism for sustainable development. Saying it is not only to preserve our cultural heritage but also playing a crucial role in promoting tourism and economic growth in the South West, especially, Osun state.

Mr. Adeleke stressed that Oduafest Osun 2024 will help to create more vibrant and sustainable Tourism industry that will benefit Communities and showcase their unique cultural identity.

While speaking, the General Manager, Osun Tourism Board, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ajayi expressed her appreciation to the State Tourism Board leadership, headed by Hon. Taiwo Adeleke and the State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke for approving the ODUDUWA fest Osun 2024 which is set to hold between June 23rd and 25th this year, in conjunction with FTAN, Federation of Association of Tourism of Nigeria and Osun State Tourism Board.

Contributing to the development, the South West Vice- President, Mr Kolade Babatunde FTAN, emphasized that the main reason why this stakeholders' meeting was organized is for the forth coming programme. The programme will unlock the potential of Tourism and culture in the state. He however solicited for maximum cooperation from the programme organizer and the State to make it a successful outing.

In attendance were members of Traditional Religion worshipers Association, National Association of Women Journalist NAWOJ Osun State chapter, Curators, trainers, singers , staff and management of Osun State Tourism Board to mention but view.
