NIPR ONDO CHAPTER CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES OSUN STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFORMATION OFFICERS' CADRE

The Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ondo State Chapter, Mr. Funmilayo Ikueduranni, warmly congratulates the Osun State Local Government Information Officers' Cadre on their elevation to a full-fledged department.

The Chairman said in a release issued by Chapter’s Public Relations Executive, Mrs. Olufunke Asagunla "We commend the Osun State Government for their vision and forthrightness in recognizing the importance of effective information management at the grassroots level," Mr. Ikueduranni said. "This milestone is a significant step forward in enhancing the capacity of local government information officers to effectively disseminate information, engage with citizens, and promote grassroots development."

The NIPR Chairman also called on the Ondo State Government to take a cue from this exemplary gesture and grant the long-overdue request of Ondo Local Government Information Officers to establish a similar department. "By approving the department, both local and state governments stand to gain enhanced information spread, improved community engagement, increased transparency, strengthened institutional capacity, and better coordination and synergy between local and state governments," he emphasized.

Mr. Ikueduranni urged the Ondo State Government to prioritize this request, recognizing the vital role information officers play in fostering good governance and inclusive development.

Once again, we congratulate our colleagues in Osun State on this remarkable feat and look forward to a similar development in Ondo State soon.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

 By Olayinka Awofadeju At Joseph Ayo Babalola University Vice Chancellor's press conference held on 4th December, 2023 at the Senate Chamber. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87. While speaking, VC made it known that the school equally graduated 12 PhD students in 2022/2023 academic session.
