One Year Anniversary: Governor Adeleke Commissions Rep Salam's Projects

Governor Ademola Adeleke on Monday 23rd September, 2024 commissioned the projects of Rep. Bamidele Salam at different towns and local government from electrification, procurement of 500kva to different towns, commissioning of eight classrooms block and modern ICT for a school in Awo town, laying foundation of Skill Acquisition Center at Ede town, Solar Bore Holes at five different communities, flag off of rehabilitation of work on Aato - Inisa - Ejigbo - Iragberi - Awo road.
According to Rep. Bamidele Salam, when he visited Agbon town last year during the campaign, the request from the community was electrification and provision of transformer. The community has been in existence for decades without electricity. He made promise that if he wins the election, he will visit their problem. He said he has fulfilled his promise, the project cost him over forty million naira (Over N40 million) due to the extension of a kilometer to connect to the source of light to the 500kva transformer procured for them.
Furthermore, Rep. Bamidele Salam said he facilitated the building of eight classrooms through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). The school was founded in 1955 during the Obafemi Awolowo, the last time there was new structure in the school was twenty five years ago, the only functioning classroom was destroyed during the End Sars protest. Due to this, parents withdrew their wards from the school.
To align with modern trends, Rep Bamidele Salam said he introduced ICT center of the same school in the 2024 national budget through the national commission for nomadic education. He said the classrooms cost him one hundred and sixty million naira (160m) while the ICT with computers, solar power and other things within cost over one hundred million naira (N100m).
Rep Bamidele Salam said, the commissioning involves thirteen major projects, but due to the schedule of both state governor and the deputy, they will not be able to cover all. Yet, they will still commission solar power bore-holes for five different communities, foundation laying of skill acquisition center at Oke-Gada in Ede town. He said, all these are part of what he brought as a representative of his Constituency.
While reacting, Oba Abdulwasiu, Iwaloye of Ologobiti of Ogobiti said he was happy for the electrification of his town claiming that his town has been existing since Ede town exist because his town is under Ede town, yet this is the first time they are having light
