HON. OKUNADE ADESANYA COMMENDS SENATOR LERE OYEWUMI ON EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME SPONSORED TO BOOST COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN EGBEDORE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Hon. Okunade Adesanya, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Egbedore Local Government, attended a significant empowerment programmer sponsored by Senator Akogun Lere Oyewumi, PhD representing Osun West Senatorial District. The event aimed to support vulnerable populations within the community, including widows, the aged, and individuals with physical challenges.

During the programme, Hon. Adesanya expressed gratitude to Senator Oyewumi for his commitment to uplifting the community and acknowledged the contributions of Rep. Bamidele Salam. He urged attendees to engage in discussions about the positive impacts of democracy and the initiatives being undertaken by their representatives. Adesanya emphasized the importance of supporting these efforts to reciprocate the good work of the governor.

The gathering also featured Alhaji Adebayo, the Party Chairman, who praised Senator Oyewumi for his dedication to the people. Alhaji Amidu Olagoke echoed these sentiments, commending the senator for ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach those in need. A total of 110 beneficiaries from the ten wards of Egbedore Local Government were supported during this initiative.

Key leaders in attendance included ward party chairmen, all ten councillorship candidates from the local government, Hon ,Alhaji Adio Adeyinka Mufutau, as well as former officials such as Hon. Sakiru Adeleke, Hon. Moshood Olalekan, and Hon. Nurudeen Olagoke.

This empowerment program exemplifies the ongoing efforts of local leaders to foster community development and support for those in need.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

 By Olayinka Awofadeju At Joseph Ayo Babalola University Vice Chancellor's press conference held on 4th December, 2023 at the Senate Chamber. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87.
