EMPOWERMENT AND EMPLOYMENT: ONE OF HON. OKUNADE'S AGENDAS FOR EGBEDORE

Hon. Sanya Okunade, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Egbedore Local Government in the 2025 election, has identified "Empowerment and Employment" as one of the key focus in his five-point agenda.

Empowerment

Hon. Okunade emphasized his plan to empower both young and old by providing financial assistance and tools such as machinery to boost businesses and improve livelihoods. He noted that many residents struggle with stagnant businesses or lack of opportunities. Empowering individuals will not only strengthen them financially but also enable them to contribute to the economy, which can increase the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

Employment

Addressing the issue of unemployment, Hon. Okunade highlighted the need to engage graduates from higher institutions across Osun State and beyond. Without meaningful opportunities, idle youth risk becoming a source of unrest. His administration will create jobs through civil service, farming, federal employment, and other initiatives to ensure active engagement for all.

He assured residents that his government will be people-focused, working to extend the good governance of Governor Ademola Adeleke to Egbedore Local Government.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

 By Olayinka Awofadeju At Joseph Ayo Babalola University Vice Chancellor's press conference held on 4th December, 2023 at the Senate Chamber. Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science. She graduated with 4.89, which is a step better than the last best graduating student who finished with 4.87. While speaking, VC made it known that the school equally graduated 12 PhD students in 2022/2023 academic session.
