Hon. Olatunji Surajudeen Lead APC Members in Ara Ward 02 to PDP, Vow to Support PDP in Future Elections

It was a moment of great honor yesterday for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Egbedore Local Government as they welcomed hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) members from Ara Ward 02 into People's Democratic Party (PDP)

The event took place after a successful interdenominational prayer session and the inauguration of the Chairmanship Campaign Committee for the upcoming Osun State Local Government election scheduled for February 22, 2025. PDP leaders and members from across Egbedore gathered in Ara Township to celebrate the defection of Hon. Olatunji Surajudeen, the former APC Councilor in Ara for almost five years, alongside numerous other APC members, into the PDP.

Hon. Surajudeen expressed gratitude to Almighty God for his life and extended heartfelt appreciation to the PDP leaders in Egbedore for recognizing and counting him worthy of joining the party.

While addressing the gathering, Hon. Surajudeen revealed the reasons behind his decision to join the PDP. He praised Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State, for transforming Osun into a "construction site" with various developmental projects. He described Governor Adeleke's achievements as inspiring and motivating.

Hon. Suraju and the other decampees pledged their commitment to working with the PDP in the forthcoming elections, including the Local Government elections and Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid for a second term as Governor of Osun State.

In his remarks, the Egbedore PDP Chairman, Alhaji Sulaimon Adebayo, warmly welcomed the new members from the APC and commended their courage in joining the ruling party in the state. He encouraged them to collaborate with other members and work to bring more opposition members into the party.

High Chief Kolade Adeleke, a prominent PDP leader, also welcomed the decampees, urging them to unite with PDP members in Ara to ensure the party's success in the upcoming and future elections.

14th Convocation Ceremony: JABU Graduates 467 Students

Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo that the University graduated 467 students while 23 finished with first class, 205 finished with second class upper, 172 finished with second class lower and others are within third class to pass. The overall best graduating student for the academic session was Mary Ayobayo from Computer Science.
