Osun LG poll: Egbedore PDP Flags Off Campaign, Unveils Chairmanship Candidate’s Five-Point Agenda

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Egbedore Local Government Osun State officially flagged off its campaign yesterday at Olorunsogo Ward 10, signaling the beginning of an energetic drive towards the forthcoming local government elections. The event witnessed massive support for Hon. Sanya Okunade Olori, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate, and the 10 Councillorship candidates across Egbedore wards.
In his keynote address, Hon. Okunade introduced his Five-Point Agenda aimed at restoring Egbedore Local Government to its former glory. The agenda includes:
1. Empowerment and Employment Opportunities – Initiatives to create job opportunities and empower youths, widows, and the elderly ones also empowering youths through ICT and sport development.
2. Quality Basic Education – Promoting access to and improvement in the educational sector
3. Improved Healthcare Facilities– Enhancing healthcare facilities and services for all residents.
4. Agricultural Improvement and Food Security – Supporting agricultural growth and development for economic sustainability.
5. Infrastructural Development – Upgrading critical infrastructure to improve living standards and foster development.
Hon. Okunade pledged to build on the transformative achievements of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke Imole, the Executive Governor of Osun State, whose exceptional leadership continues to bring remarkable progress to the state.
The event also marked a significant victory for the PDP, as several members of the opposition party, APC, from Olorunsogo Ward 10, officially defected to the PDP, expressing confidence in its leadership and agenda for progress.
The campaign flag-off attracted prominent leaders across Egbedore Local Government, including Alhaja Atinuke Oyawoye, a recent awardee of the Osun State Government, and High Chief Kolade Adeleke, among others.
In a symbolic gesture of unity and readiness, PDP flags were presented to Hon. Sanya Okunade Olori and his running mate, Alhaji Mufutao Adio, alongside all 10 Councillorship candidates under the leadership of Alhaji Sulaimon Adebayo the Egbedore Party Chairman.
The PDP in Egbedore is poised for victory, promising a leadership that prioritizes development, inclusivity, and the welfare of its people.
