The Osun State Government has warned land grabbers encroaching government lands across the state to vacate the lands with immediate effect or face the wrath of the law.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Assets Management, Mrs Fausat Sarumi-Adebanjo, gave the warning during a monitoring exercise embarked upon by the Osun Assets Management Agency officials.

The team visited the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), Oke Baale, and Ogidan Grammar School area, Sasa, Osogbo, where it discovered that unpatriotic elements had encroached and vast parcel of the establishment's land

Mrs Sarumi-Adebanjo stated that the Osun State Government is ready to claim back its properties, adding that the assets of the state constitute the wealth of the people.

She called on the people who had built structures on government land to visit the office of the Osun Assets Management Agency with their land documents without further delay.

During the monitoring, it was discovered that a vast portion of government land had been unlawfully acquired, and different structures had been erected on the said lands.

She therefore emphasized that, during the next visit, those structures will be marked for demolition if those found culpable fail to do the needful.
