The Priest said, "the lessons of humility, love and charity exhibited in the Eid-el-Kabir festival are good virtues which we should embrace in our daily lives."

Fr.Oladapo commended the peaceful co-existence of the Islamic faithful in the town.

The cleric enthused that "this festival should not only be characterized with merriment, but dedicated for prayers, especially, at this period when Nigeria is in need of God's intervention to stem the spate of insecurity and restore peace and tranquility in the country.

The CAN Chairman on behalf of the Christian faithful in the town also charged the Muslim community to pray for socio-political development of Osun State, especially at this crucial period.

He noted that the spirit of love and unity among various religious faithful in the town is appreciated, urging them to also remember the growth of Ilare and God's protection over all inhabitants of Ilare as a cardinal point in their prayers.
