Osun Tourism Board mourns the death of Olori Solape Abolarin

The Osun State Tourism Board has mourned the sudden death of the Executive Secretary, Osun State Council for Art and Culture whose demise was announced on Monday 9th June 2025 after a brief illness.
In the condolences message jointly signed by the Bord Chairman, Hon.Taiwo Adeleke and the General Manager, Mrs Oluwatoyin Ajayi, and made available to the newsmen, they described the death of Mrs Solape Abolarin as a rude shock to the State Government whose service will be most needed at this point in time, saying the vacuum left behind will be very difficult to fill.
They noted that the late Executive Secretary was a dedicated, passionate and committed personality whose contributions to the growth of Osun Council for Arts and Culture will be deeply missed.
The letter partly read, "We mourn the loss of a remarkable individual who brought immense value to our efforts.
"Her tireless efforts,
positive contributions, and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in our successes, and she will be greatly missed by all of us at the Osun State Tourism Board, Osun Council for Art and Culture and Ministry of Culture and Turism as a whole.
"Mrs Solape Abolarin was a woman of great passion and commitment, who also have dreams for Osun State, and served as a director of Administration and supplies in many Ministries before she became Executive Secretary of Osun State Council for Art and Culture in 2023.
"We extend our sincere condolences to her family and the Royal family of Abolarin in Oke Ila, particularly her children, and pray that God Almighty grant them the fortitude, strength, and resilience to bear this immense loss," the statement concluded.
It would be recalled that the late Olori Abolarin hailed from Igbeti in Oyo State, Nigeria and started her civil service career in Oyo State. She later got married to the royal family of Abolarin'," The Orangun of Oke-Ila, in Ifedayo local government area, Osun State, Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin.
