Family fixes Burial for 8th November


The Pioneer Principal of Ilare Community High School, Chief Ayodele Olayinka who passed away on 2nd July, 2025 will be buried Saturday 8th November.

A statement by the family disclosed that activities marking the burial will commence on 7th November with the Service of Songs and Christian Wake at his residence, A.95, Iloro Street, Ipetu-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government area of Osun State, while the funeral service holds at Saint Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Ipetu-Ijesa, by 10:00am.

Reception of guests, according to the family source will be held at the playing field of Ipetu-Ijesa Grammar School, Ipetu-Ijesa.

Meanwhile, the President of the Ilare Community High School Old Students Association, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye (nee Akinyemi) has described the demise of the founding principal of the school as a great loss that would be sorely missed.

According to Professor Oyawoye, while reacting on behalf of the Executive and all past students of the school, "Chief Olayinka laid a solid foundation in the school. As a disciplinarian and devout christian, all those who passed through him are today doing well in their respective careers with what he sowed in their lives."

Oyawoye noted that "Baba Olayinka was a community leader, astute political gladiator, prolific writer, visionary leader and a man of faith, who would never in any way be perfidious or compromise standard, truth and honesty"

She noted that Baba's home call came at a time when his sageous contributions was needed for the celebration of golden jubilee of the citadel of learning.

The President however, prayed for the repose soul of the foremost traditional ruler in Ipetu Ijesa land, urging members not to relent in praying for the family he left behind.
