BSST Osun Chapter Slams AMBO group's Unity Walk as "Show of Shame
By Olayinka Awofadeju
In a scathing rebuke, the Bukola Saraki Strategy Team (BSST) Osun State chapter has condemned the rally organized in support of AMBO at Osogbo, describing it as a "show of shame." The rally, staged by supporters of the AMBO faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been widely criticized for its perceived desperation and lack of substance.
According to the BSST Osun State chapter, the APC's crisis-ridden state is a far cry from the peace and tranquility that Osun State is known for. The party's multiple aspirants, including Senator Iyiola Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the APC; Bola Oyebamiji, a former Commissioner for Finance in the state with an uninspiring and questionable record in public office and service delivery; and the serving National Secretary of the party, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru, are seen as mere opportunists seeking to exploit the state's peace for their own gain.
In a statement issued today at the Osun state capital, Osogbo by the chairman of the BSST Osun State media, Comrade Michael Adebayo, excoriated the Osun APC, describing it as "a used condom, devoid of value and fit only for the dustbin or incineration." This vitriolic remark highlights the group's deep disillusionment with the party's tactics and perceived lack of integrity.
The group warned Osun State residents to beware of these "political merchants" who are bent on hijacking the state's leadership through underhand means and violence. The group reminded the people of Osun State of the APC's disastrous 12-year tenure, which was marked by unimaginable suffering, including the non-payment of workers' salaries, resulting in the deaths of many workers and retirees.
BSST group described the present administration in Osun State under the leadership of Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke has been a beacon of hope, performing beyond human expectations. The group praised the governor's leadership and urged the good people of Osun State to stand firm and protect their interests by voting against any candidate the APC may present in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
"Let us not forget the pains inflicted upon us by the APC; let us reject their attempts to reclaim power and instead, let us build on the progress that this present administration have made," the group urged.
The BSST's statement serves as a clarion call to Osun State residents to reject the APC's desperate attempts to regain power and instead, support the present administration's efforts to build a better future for the state.
