2026 Osun Guber: Seven Reasons Osun People Should Not Vote For APC

Seven reasons why people of Osun are not supposed to cast their votes for All Progressive Congress are stated below:

1. Retrogression:

Osun State can not afford to go back to the level where APC left it before Governor Ademola Adeleke assumed office in November 2022. Comparing present development under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke with where APC left it, it is just like comparing sleep with death.
Governor Ademola Adeleke dualized roads in many towns and in all the three senatorial districts in Osun State. Modernized bridges at the strategic locations and towns.
Provision of portable water in all the local governments in Osun State which for good twelve years of APC, there was nothing of such.
Employment of teachers to various levels which is different from employment of staff done after Oyetola had lost the 2022 governorship election. There is now regular promotion  of civil servants in the state different from what they witnessed under APC.
Osun people can't allow retrogression anymore, they can't cast their votes for APC.

2. Half Salary:

Since Governor Ademola Adeleke assumed office as governor of Osun State, there has been regular payment of salaries to both active civil servants and pensioners. There is no time when administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke paid half Salary, instead, he paid minimum wage and increased retirees payments.
During the time of former governor Aregbesola and Oyetola,  it was known for half Salary which became their nicknames eventually for the end of their tenure.
Governor Ademola Adeleke is a workers' friend, he cares for the citizens of the state.

3. Thuggery:

APC time in Osun State was known for using thugs to oppress and maiming the opposition, expecially during the electioneering period. Example of this is what Osun State local government is witnessing presently. APC lost the power, but preferred to forcefully be in control of the Council.
The state is enjoying her peace under Governor Ademola Adeleke even with all the madness APC are displaying at the LG Councils which they (APC) can not tolerate.

4. Terrorism:

Vote for APC is a vote to invite terrorism to the state. Looking at all the state where terrorists are invading, killing and kidnapping, they are all APC states. Many had been pointing accusing fingers to the governors of those states as aiding the activities to support the miners.
Voting for APC in Osun State can be the beginning of terrorism which we may start to be running up and down for safety.
Look at how APC made Amotekun toothless dogs and one of the just decamped Senator said he was behind it. Does he want bandits who were trying to cross from Kwara State to make Osun State their next business hub?

5. Bitter Politics:

We all know and witnessed how APC internal crisis in the state led to shooting of guns here and there, between Omoluabi and IleriOluwa. Also, between Oyetola and PDP then which made Oyetola to denied Governor Ademola Adeleke access to use the state stadium for his campaign.
If Oyetola had won the 2022 Governorship election, many civil servants must have been sacked by now for not casting their votes for him. Osun can not afford that bitter Politics again.

6. Using State to Secure Loan:

Loan collected during the time of both Aregbesola and Oyetola under APC, Osun State is still paying back till now. Apart from the loan, all the half salaries owed by APC, Governor Ademola Adeleke is paying back gradually.
Check the records, all the developmental work of Governor Ademola Adeleke are without collecting loan from anywhere, but only from the monthly allocation from Abuja and IGR.
Osun people, do you want APC to return us back to where we have been delivered from by voting for them?

The loans using the state to secure, where is the work done with it in Osun State?

7. Uneven Development:

During the time of APC in the state, many communities were not developed just because opposition lived there. Areas like Iwo town and it's environment, Ede and many other major towns.
Since Governor Ademola Adeleke came, development is even in all the local government in the state. Every community is opened for business compared to APC time.


I want to use this medium to tell all the electorates within Osun State to cast their votes for Governor Ademola Adeleke for the continuation of good works in the state.

Chief Pinheiro Resigns from People's Democratic Party

Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary.
