60th Birthday of a Leader in Osun State Journalism and 10th Episcopal Anniversary

The 60th birthday of Bishop Seun Adeoye and 10th Episcopal Anniversary held at Prosperity field, SGTIM, Rehoboth arena, Oba Road, Okinni, Osun State on February 24th, 2026.

The programme brought together politicians and veterans journalist in which they shared positive testimonies about the celebrant character to his fellow human being.  

Politicians corroborated the testimonies from the family and friends, they mentioned Bishop Seun Adeoye' boldness in defending the positive and exposing the evil in the society then.

Dignitaries at the occasion are Bishop Mike Bamidele who admonished the well-wishers with words of God and prayed for the celebrant, 

Barrister Niyi Owolabi former Attorney general of Osun, Professor Mojeed Alabi former Speaker Osun and the present Provost of Law, University of Osun, Elder Segun Akinwusi former HOS Osun and other Clergy men from far and near.

The men and women of journalism profession like Mr. Laide Lawal, deputy clerk, Osun State House of Assembly, Dr. Peter Awofadeju, Chairman, NUJ Federated Chapel, Mrs. Bisola Ariwodola Chairperson, NAWOG, Alhaji Sofiu Abdulganiyu from Ministry of Information and others came in large number to rejoice with one of the leaders in the profession in Osun State.

Bandits on Monday night invaded Ora Igbomina in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State , unleashing terror on residents and travellers in the community.  The attackers reportedly stormed Akisa Road in Ora, where they kidnapped a former Customs officer, Prince Owolabi , from his residence.  The invasion threw the town into panic as gunshots rang out during the operation. Chief Pinheiro Resigns from People's Democratic Party

 By Oduduwa Media  Otunba Oladimeji Pinheiro, PhD, released his resignation letter from the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Ward 06, Imesi-Ile, Obokun local government, Osun State which took effect from 4th May, 2025. His decision according to him are internal politicking, and intrigues ahead of next general election, personal interest and power play which has become order of the day without no hope of amicably resolution. He said he was convinced that the party has lost control of its direction and philosophy of the establishment which has made the internal political rancor more worsen which he presumed that the leadership of the party has failed to handle with utmost expected actions. Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

 By Seun Omidiran  The Osun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists has inaugurated the new executive for Federated Chapel of the state . The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary. While inaugurating the new Exco members, the Council Secretary declared that, "as directed by the state council due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the change of power in the chapel, only the Chairman, Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU and the Secretary, Mr. Oyewole Temitope obtained nomination forms to their offices since about eight months ago when the outgone exco had been desolved and the NUJECO credentials committee headed by Dr. Simon Oladimeji Pinheiro was put in place."
