THE NUJ GUEST PLATFORM HIGHLIGHTS GOVERNOR ADELEKE'S INFRASTRUCTURE ACHIEVEMENTS

The Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Osun state Council, hosted it's maiden edition of the NUJ Guess platform at the NUJ Press centre in osogbo, with the theme "Infrastructure Provision in Osun state Under the Ongoing Dispensation. 

The event, which featured the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola AAdeleke on Special Duties, Mr. Akinwumi Odejobi, brought together Journalists and stakeholders to discuss the administration's achievements in infrastructure development. 

In his welcome address, NUJ Osun state Council Chairman, Dr. Adeyemi Aboderin, said the platform aims to bridge the gap between government, professionals, and the people, presenting an unbiased picture of public issues. 

Dr. Aboderin emphasized the importance of infrastructure in driving commerce, and defining the dignity of the people, saying "When infrastructure works, the state works, when it fails, the people suffer, regardless of political affiliation".

Mr. Odejobi, while responding to the questions from Journalist, highlighted several projects completed by the Adeleke's administration, including the Oke Fia flyover in Osogbo, Lamecho dualization, and the road project in Iwo, Ilesha, ogbo titun, oke isa community, araromi and so on. 

He noted that, Governor Adeleke has undertaken projects in various parts of Osogbo and Osun state, including street lighting, and emphasized that the administration has not borrowed funds for any project, saying "There is no government that has done what the present administration is doing, and there is no project that the government touches and doesn't finish".

He added that, Governor Adeleke's administration is focused on delivering tangible results, and that the governor is committed to continuing to improve the state's infrastructure. 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Titilola Olaniyan and a closing prayer by Mr. Ojo.
