Late Samuel Omoyulenu Fabunmi, A man of peace: Owalare extoles ex-IDA President who dies at 75
The Owalare of Ilare, Oba Adejoro Otebolaku and entire Owalare -in-Council have described the death of Mr Samuel OMOYULENU Fabunmi as a great loss to the Ilare community, describing him as a benevolent personality.
A release by the Spokesperson of the community, Dr. Tope Abiola JP, the Odole-Owa of Ilare states that "as the immediate past president of Ilare Development Association (IDA), Mr Omoyulenu tried his best in unifying different groups in the community. He was a man of peace.
"For several years, he was the Chairman of Parents Teachers Association of Ilare Community High School, during which he ensured that discipline was entrenched into the lives of the students.
The release also noted that, Mr Omoyulenu was a devout Christian and Senior Steward of the Methodist Church, Ilare Circuit.
"To Mr Omoyulenu, development of Ilare took a place of concern in his heart.
",The man was a benevolent personality, an astute philanthropist and a sincere Ilare patriot, who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
" We shall surely miss him", the release stated.
The remains of the former President of IDA, according to a family source, would be interred in his house tomorrow, Saturday 27 June, after the funeral service at the Methodist Church Ilare by 4:00pm
He is survived by wife, children and elderly brother and sister.
