2027: APC-USA DEPUTY WOMEN LEADER, HON. FOLA OLUMO CONGRATULATES VICE PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA ON RE-NOMINATION AS TINUBU's RUNNING MATE

The National Deputy Women Leader of APC-USA & Convener of Diaspora Support for APC North America, Hon. Fola Olumo, has extended her warmest congratulations to the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, following his re-nomination as the vice-presidential candidate and running mate to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the 2027 presidential election.

In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the leadership and members of Diaspora Support for APC North America, Hon. Olumo described the Vice President's re-selection as a well-deserved recognition of his unwavering loyalty, exceptional leadership, administrative competence, and steadfast commitment to the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She noted that Senator Shettima has consistently demonstrated remarkable patriotism, humility, resilience and an uncommon capacity to complement the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in advancing national development, economic reforms and democratic governance.

According to Hon. Fola Olumo, the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to once again present the Tinubu-Shettima ticket reflects the confidence reposed in a leadership that has continued to place Nigeria's unity, stability and prosperity at the forefront of national discourse. 


She emphasized that Nigerians at home and across the diaspora have witnessed the Vice President's invaluable contributions to policy formulation, investment promotion, youth empowerment, national security and strategic engagements aimed at strengthening Nigeria's global standing. 

She expressed confidence that the renewed partnership between President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima would further consolidate the achievements already recorded while delivering greater dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.

Hon. Fola Olumo further assured Vice President Shettima of the unwavering support of APC members and progressive-minded Nigerians across North America, pledging to intensify diaspora mobilization and strategic advocacy towards ensuring a resounding victory for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in the 2027 presidential election. 

She prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance upon the Vice President as he continues to serve the nation with distinction, while expressing optimism that the Renewed Hope administration will continue to build a stronger, more prosperous, united, and globally competitive Nigeria.

Osun NUJ Inaugurates Exco for Federated Chapel

The inauguration took place on 3rd September, 2025 at NUJ Press Center , Osogbo . Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU was sworn in as the Chairman of the chapel, along with Mr. Oyewole Temitope as Secretary. While inaugurating the new Exco members, the Council Secretary declared that, "as directed by the state council due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the change of power in the chapel, only the Chairman, Dr. Peter Olayinka AWOFADEJU and the Secretary, Mr. Oyewole Temitope obtained nomination forms to their offices since about eight months ago when the outgone exco had been desolved and the NUJECO credentials committee headed by Dr. Simon Oladimeji Pinheiro was put in place."
