Ooni’s Traditional Secretary, Idowu Salami, Wife Receive CCC Investiture

 

The Traditional Secretary to the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, Chief (Dr.) Idowu Salami, and his wife, Lady Evangelist Salami Funke Beauty, have received their respective investitures at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Boluwatife Parish, Ile-Ife.

The investiture ceremony, held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, was marked by prayers, thanksgiving and tributes in recognition of Chief Idowu Salami’s contributions to the church and the wider Ile-Ife community.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Shepherd of the church, Venerable Superior Evangelist Bode Awotide, expressed gratitude to God for preserving Chief Salami’s life and making it possible for him to witness and receive the prestigious investiture. He described the newly invested General Evangelist as a committed pillar of the church and a man whose selfless contributions have positively impacted many lives.

Woli Bode urged Chief Salami to remain steadfast in his service to God and humanity, stressing that his good deeds and commitment to the development of the church and Ile-Ife had earned him the honour.

He also noted that the large turnout of people who accompanied Chief Salami to the ceremony was a reflection of the goodwill and respect he has cultivated over the years.

The church Shepherd thereafter offered fervent prayers for the Ooni of Ife, Chief Idowu Salami and his wife, seeking divine guidance, protection, strength and greater accomplishments for them.

In his remarks, Chief (Dr.) Idowu Salami returned all glory to God, recounting some of the challenges and experiences he had encountered in the course of his life. He described the investiture as a testament to God’s faithfulness and grace, declaring, “God is the greatest.”

Chief Salami also used the occasion to appreciate his principal, the Ooni of Ife, for his unwavering support and encouragement, particularly during difficult moments in his life. He dedicated the investiture to the glory of God and to His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife.

The Traditional Secretary further expressed appreciation to Woli Bode, his wife, Lady Evangelist Salami Funke Beauty, his colleagues at the Palace and other well-wishers who joined him in celebrating the significant milestone.

With the investiture, Chief (Dr.) Idowu Salami has assumed the esteemed position of General Evangelist, while his wife, Lady Evangelist Salami Funke Beauty, has been invested as a Lady Evangelist of the Celestial Church of Christ, Boluwatife Parish.

The ceremony ended with prayers and thanksgiving, as family members, colleagues, friends and well-wishers celebrated the couple for their new spiritual responsibilities.
