The best form of defense is attack as the wise would say. The constant terrorist attacks on Nigerians in the northern part of Nigeria and partly south calls for self defense by citizens of the country. Nigerians have experienced blame games from the government at all levels and people working with federal government on who is sponsoring terrorism in the country. None has agreed to the allegation of sponsorship. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are presently investigating and charging some present and former government officers to court for related offenses. Many who were the law makers but eventually found to be law breakers involving in terrorism and related offenses.  Recently, State government clamored for state policing , yet some governors in the north were alleged for complicit, sponsoring and covering these same terrorists. How can State government fight against the problem they created? Many leaders had requested that federal government should legalize arms f...

Accord Osun Seeks Clarity on Appointments, Elections After PDP Alliance

Image
The Osun State chapter of the Accord Party has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to provide clear explanations regarding political appointments, electoral opportunities, and the future of the party following its alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a New Year message jointly signed by key state executives, Accord Osun congratulated Governor Adeleke on the progress of his administration and reaffirmed its support for his leadership. However, the party expressed growing concern over what it described as unresolved agreements and uncertainty surrounding the alliance. “We are wholeheartedly in support of Your Excellency and ready to work for and with you,” the statement read.  “However, we must remind you of the promises made to our party, and we are becoming increasingly impatient about when these promises will be fulfilled.” The party raised alarm over claims that its former chairman had allegedly signed off Accord’s structures from ward to state level-to the PDP...

PENALTY WITHOUT A GOALKEEPER ? HISTORY SAYS OTHERWI

Image
When AMBO of the APC boasts that he wo uld “ win Osun by August 8 next year because it will be a penalty without a goalkeeper,” he forgets one simple truth - an idea whose time has not come can never materialise. History is full of missed “open goals. AMBO needs to be reminded of Yakubu Aiyegbeni’s famous miss at the 2010 World Cup against South Korea — an empty net, a clear chance. Yet, Nigeria failed to qualify. That single moment teaches us that *even open goals can be missed. Football is full of such stories. Great players miss penalties. Top strikers fluff open chances. Nothing is guaranteed — not even when the goalkeeper is already beaten. In Osun politics , we have seen this too. AMBO should be taken down the history lane. Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola was handed a penalty without a goalkeeper. He inherited everything Rauf Aregbesola built — political structure, goodwill, and power: the Governorship intact, 2 of 3 Senate seats, 6 of 9 House of Representatives , 22 of 26 House of A...

APC INTERNAL WAR: RESIGN IMMEDIATELY AS MINISTER AND FACE YOUR OBSESSION WITH RIVERS POLITICS - APC SECRETARY FIRES NYESOM WIKE

Image
The national secretary of All Progressive Congress , Senator Ajibola Basiru Ph.D., BL in his response to comments from the Minister of the FCT , Nyesom Wike against his person and office as the national secretary to the APC said "my attention has been drawn to the tirade of the Minister of the FCT against my person and my office as the National Secretary of the APC. This is as regards to my position that all members of the NWC must accord any sitting Governor his due respect and that the Governors remain the leaders of the Party in their States. It is shocking that such an innocuous statement can elicit such uncouth responses from no less than a member of the Federal Executive Council . Minster of FCT, Nyesom Wike threatened APC National Secretary over Rivers State politics  For the avoidance of doubt, our records indicate that Minister Nyesom Wike is not a member of our Party (APC) so he lacks the locus to dabble into the affairs our Party. And as National Secretary of t...
