U.S Backs Digital Transformation Drive

By Ifeoluwa Alade          The United States consulate General in Lagos, Will Stevens, expressed his commitment to furthering digital transformation in Nigeria. Stephens made this statement during the Global Tech Africa( GTA) 2023 event in Lagos, which focused on facilitating investments in Africa’s digital economy.       Stevens commended Nigeria for its commendable efforts in pursuing digital transformation and praised the nation’s enthusiasm in embracing this technological shift.          Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, the Director- General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) shared an optimistic outlook on Nigeria’s digital transformation future.          The NITDA boss was really optimistic during his keynote speech in Lagos. The conference, organized by Ascend Studio Foundation in partnership with NITDA, the U.S Consulate Venture Garden Group, business Sweden, and Riu Excel Health aims to bring together tech stakeholders from Africa and around the world.

Governor Adeleke Approves N15,000 Monthly wage award for civil servants, N10,000 for pensioners

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the payment of wage award to civil servants and pensioners in the state as a measure to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal. The Governor stated that the action was in a continuation of his avowed commitment to workers' welfare and a fulfillment of his pledge for the gradual rollout of palliative measures to cushion the effect of subsidy removal. "On the first day of my second year in office, I unveil this wage award and reaffirm our five point agenda which has workers' welfare as number one item", Governor Adeleke noted. Governor Adeleke's approval was conveyed in a circular issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building, disclosing that workers in the service of the state will get a N15,000 wage award while pensioners will receive N10,000.  The circular which was signed by Sunday Olugbenga Fadele, a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, noted that the wage award will r

CGS 2000 set: 2023 reunion at Abeokuta

This year hangout which was yesterday 25th November, 2023 was taken to Abeokuta where the members enjoyed themselves and to see themselves, some after a year while some since departure in year 2000. The members who attended the get together (hangout) visited many place like Odo-Ogun and Olumo Rock, where cake and many other activities took place.  Cake from Bolicious & Event The chairman Mr. Happy Enuma encouraged every member to be creating a day to meet with old colleagues, he said this will strengthen our love and we can connect business and many other benefits can be gotten.
